About Us

TriWoods is a diverse community, gently nestled within New Castle County, Delaware, just a stone’s throw away from the beautiful campus of  The University of Delaware, Christiana Hospital, and Christiana Mall. Divided into three independently named divisions;  Sherwood Forest, Elmwood and Fox Woods, this quaint community of 415 residential homes still has the feel and ambiance reminiscent of smaller, friendly neighborhoods of earlier times.

 

With the very first single-family homes being built in 1979, approximately 37 percent of our  original homeowners are still residents. On January 1, 1981, the residents of TriWoods submitted corporate entity documents to Newcastle County  to form the TriWoods Civic Association which has continued to serve the needs of this  community for over 40 years. With an elected leadership cabinet consisting of President, Vice- President, Secretary and Treasurer along with appointed members at- large and a host of dedicated volunteer committee leads, this association continues to strive to maintain the peace, security and prosperity which this community has always valued and enjoyed.
